SharePoint 2010 List View Threshold

SharePoint 2010 provides Resource throttling which restricts the use of large data-driven list views. Below is an image of the error when over the limit.



To change and increase the limit access Central Admin and under Application Management click on Application Management. At that point you will be able to locate resource throttling..



3. When clicking the “General Settings” drop down menu you will see “Resource Throttling”, clicking that button opened the following dialog:



This will allow you to increase the threshold to of the list.
